Feature Table
As the number of users of the Periodic Table increases I find my self creating more and more versions, I realise that choosing the right one may be a little more difficult than it should so I created this features table that I hope will make choosing the right one a lot easier!!
There are two main version of the application, Classic and Explorer. The third version, mobile, is only available for PocketPC 2003 and 2002 devices so if you don't have one of those then you can ignore it. It's worth remembering that both versions contain the same information, only the interface is different.
The Classic version is suitable for every user, it's the easiest to use and requires no setting up. It uses a simple interface where all the information is available with no more than a couple of clicks of the mouse. The Mini is an optimised version for desktops of 1024x600, like those on the Advent 4211 (MSI Wind), Asus EEE 900 and 901s, Dell Inspiron Mini and the Acer Aspire One.
The Explorer version has been designed to be more powerful by giving the user more control over the look and feel of the application. It uses an MDI (multi-document interface) design that allows each of the seperate displays to be opened anywhere within the application's main window and any number of times, with the possibility of each instance showing different data.
